More about me
I was born in Worms, Germany, on April 2, 1977. After elementary school in Westhofen, Germany, I attended the Eleonoren-Gymnasium in Worms. As subjects for the A-level I chose Mathematics, Physics, German (written examinations) and Geography (oral examination). During my studies of Mathematics at the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz, Germany, I focused on Differential Equations (ODE & PDE), Functional Analysis, Numerical Mathematics, and Applied Computer Sciences. After finishing my Diploma project, I continued with postgraduate studies in Physics - following my wish for more practice-oriented fundamental research. Immediately after recognition of equivalence of my degree in Mathematics and admission for the doctoral study in Experimental Physics, I started my Ph.D. studies at the Institute of Physics. My studies of the parameters describing the beta decay of free neutrons and the subsequent job following the successful completion of my Ph.D. studies brought me to Vienna.
